SCRANTON -- A group of preschoolers in Lackawanna County honored the victims in Connecticut.

Youngsters at Li’l Tikes Play School Center along Brook Street in Scranton released balloons around 9:30 a.m., the time the deadly shooting took place last Friday.

The students released 26 balloons with angels tied to them, each dedicated to one of the victims.

“This is just so important for us to do. Every day we work with kids and our hearts break for what happened. We can't imagine losing at of these guys,” said Michele Markowski of Li’l Tikes Play School Center

Workers tell us every child at the preschool signed the angels on the balloons before they were released.
