RICE TOWNSHIP — A man was killed in a crash on Interstate 81 in Luzerne County.
John Kosko, 44, from Wapwallopen flipped his car after speeding along the shoulder, according to state police.
It happened near the Nuangola Exit (159) around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Troopers said Kosko was traveling about 100 miles per hour and passing cars on the left shoulder when he lost control and flipped. He was thrown from the car.
Traffic on the highway was backed up for several miles.
