HANOVER TOWNSHIP -- Power was knocked out for hundreds in Luzerne County after a car took out a utility pole.
The crash happened around 10 p.m. Thursday on McGoverns Hill Road in the Askam section of Hanover Township, according to police.
Power crews said the wreck cracked the pole, leaving it dangling suspended by the power cords.
We're told the driver wasn't hurt.
About 1,400 homes and businesses in Nanticoke and Hanover Township lost power, according to utility officials.
