Shooting At Connecticut Elementary School

NEWTOWN, CT -- More than twenty persons -- mostly young school children -- were shot and killed in a Connecticut elementary school this morning, according to multiple federal and state sources.

The shooting happened Friday morning at the Sandy Hook elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut.

It's in the southwest part of the state near Danbury.

Officers on scene said a shooter is dead and they retrieved two handguns and that many of the gunshots were fired in a kindergarten classroom.
