A state trooper from Luzerne County is facing charges of computer crimes and filing a false report.
Back in August, investigators said Carrie Gula, a trooper at the Fern Ridge Barracks claimed she was the victim of assault.
Police eventually determined that allegation was false.
Troopers also said during the investigation, Gula accessed the online Verizon account of the man she said assaulted her and changed it without permission.
This isn't the first time Gula is the center of controversy.
In 2002, Trooper Gula was reinstated as an officer with the Exeter police department after an eight-month investigation.
