Man Rescued from Water in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE — Rescue crews retrieved a man from the Laurel Run Creek in Wilkes-Barre Wednesday night after witnesses said he fell while sitting on the side of a bridge.

It happened around 10 p.m. at the corner of Scott Street and Motorworld Drive in Wilkes-Barre.

Crews used a ladder to get down to the water to get him.

He was taken to the hospital for his injuries.
