WEST MAHANOY TOWNSHIP — A family in Schuylkill County is homeless for the holidays after fire tore through their home.
The fire started around 12:30 p.m. on West Coal Street in West Mahanoy Township.
Firefighters from several departments were called in to put out the flames.
We’re told they had to cut a hole in the roof to get to the fire.
Family members were home at the time. Everyone got out safely.
Fire officials are investigating how the blaze started.
