Blaze Tore Through Home in Luzerne County

WRIGHT TOWNSHIP — Fire destroyed a home Wednesday afternoon in Luzerne County.

Crews were called to the house along Route 309 in Mountain Top just after 1 p.m.

Luckily, nobody was hurt, but firefighters said they had a hard time getting water to the scene because there were no fire hydrants nearby.

The Red Cross is helping the homeowners.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
