Chef Steve Arnowitz of the Jewish Community Center in Wilkes-Barre prepares the traditional Potato Latke for Hanukkah. Plus, the Kinder Kids of the J.C.C. learn some of the traditions of Hanukkah.
Recipe: Potato Latkes
For Every Two Potatoes use:
1 Egg
1 Teaspoon Matza meal of flour
1 Teaspoon oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Large onion (grate about 1/4)
Peal and grate potatoes. Add other ingredients and mix.
Pour oil in saute pan and heat. Put a large spoonful of mixture into the oil. Fry on each side until golden brown.
