The Wilkes Lady Colonels snapped a 51 game losing streak to Scranton Wednesday night with 75-67 win over the Lady Royals. Elena Stambone the standout sophomore guard for Wilkes (Valley View) scored a game high 34 points. Stambone went 6-9 from behind the arc and hit all 12 of her free throws.
Wilkes improves to (5-2) on the year while Scranton falls to (6-1). The Lady Royals came into Wednesday nights game ranked 21st in the country in D3 hoops.
