Alleged Sex Abuse Victim Testifies

WILKES-BARRE — In Luzerne County on Thursday, the trial of a couple accused of abusing a 12-year-old boy featured some extremely disturbing testimony.

The alleged victim, now 14, told jurors about the abuse he claims to have suffered at the hands of Robert Caravella and Carol Hann.

The boy said when he was seven, Robert Caravella started showing him pornography on the computer.

The boy testified that on his eighth birthday, Caravella made him have sex with Carol Hann for the first time.

Both Hann and Caravella took the stand in their own defense, and both denied having any kind of sexual contact with the boy.

The defense rested Thursday, and the trial is scheduled to continue Friday with closing arguments and jury deliberations.
