BROCKTON — Fire crews spent Tuesday afternoon putting out a house fire in Schuylkill County.
Flames started in the kitchen of a home on Valley Street in Brockton near Schuylkill Township around 3:30 p.m.
According to firefighters, the fire began because a resident left the home while something was cooking. The fire gutted the kitchen and damaged the second floor of the home.
No one was hurt.
