Guilty Plea To Theft Charges

RANSOM TOWNSHIP — A former township secretary from Lackawanna County has admitted to stealing from taxpayers.

Kathy Zielinski from Clarks Summit pleaded guilty Monday to theft charges.

Zielinski admitted she stole nearly $100,000 while she worked for the township and used the money to pay bills.

She turned herself in to authorities in September.

No sentencing date has been set.
