HAZLE TOWNSHIP -- Jhow Calderon, 20, of Hazleton was led into court in handcuffs, followed by Diensy Cabrera-Moreta, 23, of West Hazleton.
The two are charged with downloading and disseminating child porn with undercover investigators. They are locked up in Luzerne County on $50,000 cash bail.
The men were arrested after four residences were raided in the Hazleton area Wednesday.
Federal, state and Luzerne County investigators seized computers and computer equipment.
"Homeland Security, ICE, immigration, customs enforcement, all part of a task force, we're all part of the task force. We all work together. It just goes to show you, we all work together to protect children," said Luzerne County Detective Charles Balogh.
According to court papers, both Calderon and Cabrera-Moreta admitted to viewing the child pornography.
Cabrera-Moreta told detectives he would search for porn using terms like "children" and "minors."
Detectives said Calderon admitted to searching for and downloading child porn because he was "curious."
"We don't have enough manpower to keep up with it to be honest with you, so yeah, it is that much of a problem," said Balogh.
