SCRANTON -- A housing development that was opposed by neighbors is now going up in Scranton.

Construction began on the new development along Davis Street in the Electric City, where a wooded area was cleared and foundations have begun going up.

There will be 30 units in the apartment building in the Minooka neighborhood. Neighbors are upset that this Laurel Woods housing complex will include low-income housing.

A company from Delaware is doing the project.
