A judge threw out one of the corruption charges against long time state senator Ray Musto.
Federal judge Richard Caputo said one of the bribery charges against Musto happened in 2006, outside the five year statute of limitations for the crime.
Musto served Luzerne County in Harrisburg for decades. He still faces numerous other corruption charges. He pleaded not guilty in October.
He was supposed to go on trial Monday, but a judge granted his lawyers more time to prepare.
