In the category of snacks with a cult-like following, Tastykakes may take the "kake!"

With the holidays coming soon, many people will ship them out-of-state as gifts.

Well, allow us to introduce you to the newest variety: Kandy Bar Kakes.

For this week's Taste Test, we went to a place in Lackawanna County where we knew people would have food on their minds.

For some, it wouldn't be Thanksgiving without a stop at Pallman's Poultry Farm near Clarks Summit.

Lindsey Hardy of South Abington Township said, "We're having twelve of us at our house with our traditional Pallman's Turkey."

For folks at Pallman's Poultry Farm, the hustle and bustle has begun, getting fresh Thanksgiving turkeys to their customers.

Craig Pallman, one of the owners said, "It's a little chaotic. It's a significant amount of people to get run through the building in a two-day span. But the customers are used to it. It's repeat business."

As hundreds of fine folks prepare for the big dinner... we brought dessert.

Tastykake has teamed up with Hershey's to create new Kandy Bar Kakes in three flavors: Reese's, York Peppermint Patty, and s'mores with Hershey's chocolate.

Dana Siebecker from Clarks Summit described the Reese's Kandy Bar Kake: "Between a Reese's Cup and a Brownie, I think... it is good!"

Siebecker's 11-year-old son Ryan, said, "I like it. It's light, it's not heavy. And it tastes just like a Reese's Cup."

Hardy enjoyed the York Peppermint Patty Kandy Bar Kake, and said it tastes just like the famous minty candy. "It does!" said Hardy. "It's good."

Evan Harbert from Taylor liked the s'mores flavor. "It's really good, really creamy, really chocolaty. I really like that."

These new Tastykakes have between 210 and 230 calories per kake, and between nine and twelve grams of fat.

While plenty of people liked the new snacks, we also found some traditionalists.

"It's good, but I like the other Tastykakes better. The chocolate ones with the vanilla inside. The cupcakes," said Tom Sweeney from Clarks Summit.

His wife, Mary, had a similar sentiment. "It's fine," Mary said. "I would rather the Krimpets."

And some... well, some were a little confused.

"It doesn't taste anything like turkey," said Pallman.

Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes are $3.00 a box at Walmart.
