More than 100 people came out Monday night to remember a Scranton woman who was killed more than ten years ago.
The candlelight vigil was held in memory of Tara Sidarovich Ord at Tripp Park in Scranton.
Tara's grandmother, Jean Hughes, said, "It's amazing that they come out and they show their love and their support and finally getting justice for Tara, which she deserved."
Tara, originally from Scranton, was living in Florida when she was murdered in back 2001.
She was 19 years old.
Now, more than a decade later, two arrests have been made.
Just last week, U.S. Marshals arrested Phillip Barr in Vermont.
Last month, David McMannis was arrested in Maryland.
Tara's mother, Sharon McPhillips, says after waiting so long, she was startled by news of the arrests.
"I was kind of in shock because it was so long," said McPhillips. "So it was like I didn't know how I really felt. But of course it was such a relief to know that they finally, finally got them."
After the men were charged, this vigil was organized by Tara's friends and family as a show of support, closure, and relief.
"All of these people here have been waiting for the same thing I have," said McPhillips.
Kelly Jones, Tara's stepsister, said, "There's a lot of people. I mean I know she was very well liked, she was awesome she was a great person."
Tara's grandmother says she hopes the two men spend the rest of their lives behind bars.
"They took a vibrant beautiful young girl. They took a daughter, a grand-daughter, a sister," said Hughes.
Both Barr and McMannis face first degree murder charges in the case of Tara Sidarovich Ord.
