Human Remains Found in Wooded Area

NEWPORT TOWNSHIP — State police in Luzerne County are trying to identify human remains found in a wooded area near Nanticoke.

The remains were discovered around noon Saturday.

Investigators do not know yet how long the remains were in the woods or who they belong to in.
