McDonald’s across the nation and here at home are now in the middle of their “Give A Hand” project.  Getting involved is easy by purchasing a $1.00, $3.00, or $5.00 dollar ‘hand’ to sign that’ll be placed on the walls at the restaurant where you bought it.  Money raised in Northeastern & Central Pennsylvania, benefits the Ronald McDonald house in Scranton and a location in Danville.   Both places “provide a ‘home away from home’ for families of critically ill and injured children receiving medical treatment at nearby medical facilities.”  Funds are also raised for local non-profits including Allied Services, American Red Cross, and Marley’s Mission.  Another way to support Ronald McDonald Houses in our area, is this Spring’s gourmet gala in Lackawanna County on April 7.  For tickets call 570-969-8998.  You can also call that number to learn about the “POP TAB PROJECT.”
