DENNISON TOWNSHIP — A fire in Luzerne County forced a family out of its home.
The homeowner said the fire started around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday in the first floor living room of the home near White Haven.
They tried to put it out, but there was too much smoke.
Four people living there got out safely, but said the home was gutted.
“Everything we owned is gone, and we just went Christmas shopping, and she went baby shopping. She lost all her baby stuff, everything she just bought to have the baby is gone,” said Karen Sundermeier, the homeowner.
Fire officials are trying to determine what started the fire.
