Man Fires Shotgun at Hunter

RANSOM TOWNSHIP -- A man is facing assault charges after police said he shot his neighbor Saturday.

According to troopers, Henry Kreig of Scranton was hunting Saturday morning around 7:30 a.m. on a property along Ransom Road outside Clarks Summit.

Authorites said the owner of the neighboring property, Joseph Taft, admitted firing a shotgun at Kreig for attempting to hunt "his deer".

Kreig was struck in the face by a pellet from the blast.

Taft was arrested and faces charges including aggravated assault.
