SCRANTON -- The owner of a trucking company in Lackawanna County now admits it was one of his vehicles that hit and damaged the Moosic Street Bridge in Scranton.

Bob Bolus appeared at the bridge Thursday afternoon, with his attorney and the man who was driving the truck that badly damaged the under-side of the bridge last week.

Bolus and his lawyer said his company reported the damage to authorities immediately.

“There was full cooperation by my client. This was not a hit and run. It was reported to the insurance company. He has been in contact with the Scranton Police,” said Tony Moses, Bolus’s attorney.

The Moosic Street Bridge is closed, and PennDOT said it will stay that way until sometime next year when the span is replaced.
