Storm-Damaged Home Hit By Fire

OLD FORGE — Crews believe a Sandy-related fire chased nine people from their home in Lackawanna County.

It happened on Oak Street in Old Forge around 7 p.m. Thursday.

Authorities tell Newswatch 16, a crew fixing the roof, which was damaged during Hurricane Sandy, left something hot up there, sparking the flames.

The Red Cross is helping the victims.

No one was hurt.
