The Monmouth University men's basketball team left the state of New Jersey earlier this week when Hurricane Sandy caused massive power outages across the region.

Displaced and desperate to get in some pre-season practice head coach King Rice called his friend John Bucci here in Scranton for some help. Bucci opened up time at Riverfront Sports for the Monmouth team to come on in and practice. It's been a great fit for the team and Riverfront.

Still worried about everything back home in New Jersey Coach Rice is very thankful to everyone here in Scranton who opened up their home and welcomed the team in.

The Hawks open up Friday November 9th 2012 with Hofstra then travel to South Bend Indiana on Monday November 12th to face Notre Dame.
