PPL Safety Tips

In this week's Power to Save report, PPL is stressing safety tips for those still sitting in the dark from Sandy.

Turn off electric stoves or space heaters that may have been on when the power went out, and unplug sensitive home electronics to protect them when power returns.

Do not heat your home with a gas oven or range.

Remember no generators should ever be run in a home, garage or basement.

Also, perishables only last 48 hours in your freezer, so they are no longer edible.
