WILKES-BARRE -- A federal judge has denied the request to delay the corruption trial of a former state senator from Luzerne County.
Jury selection in Ray Musto's trial on eight fraud and bribery charges is now scheduled to begin November 26 in federal court in Wilkes-Barre.
Musto, 83, was in court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Earlier in the week, Musto's attorneys asked the judge to delay the trial or dismiss the charges against their client because they believe he is too sick to stand trial.
