Shots Fired in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE — Police are searching for a gunman who fired shots at a car in Wilkes-Barre Tuesday afternoon.

Shots were fired around 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of Empire Street and Coal Street.

Police talked to witnesses who said they saw a man fire a gun at two cars then run through the Interfaith Apartments into Sherman Hills. 

Investigators said the occupants of both cars said little to authorities and nothing illegal was found in either vehicle. 

Seven .40 caliber casings were found on North Empire Street.  No one was hurt in the shooting.
