POINT TOWNSHIP -- Fire investigators believe an electrical problem may have started a fire at a mobile home in Northumberland County.

The home in Whitmer's Mobile Home Park along Whitmer Drive in Point Township caught fire Monday morning around 10:00 a.m.

Tracey Bordner and her three-year-old child were home at the time and made it out safely.

"All of a sudden I started smelling smoke and I ran back to the hallways and my bathroom was in flames. I went to the neighbors and told them to call 911 because my bathroom was in flames," said Bordner.

The homeowner said there were issues with the electrical sockets before the fire Monday.  A fire marshal has started an investigation to determine the cause.
