WILKES-BARRE — Officials with Pennsylvania American Water want residents of Wilkes-Barre to be aware of some repairs to a valve along George Avenue.

The repairs will happen around 10 a.m. and may take around 5 hours. A spokesperson with Pennsylvania American Water says customers along the following streets may have no water, low pressure, or cloudy water while the repairs are being made:

Liddon Street, Kado Street, Minden Street, Govier Street, Flick Street, Jay Street, Calvin Street and Mineral Street.

Customers can get fresh water from tankers which will be at The Anthracite on Scott Street and at the entrance to the Wilkes-Barre Housing Complex on Mineral Street. Customers are also asked to bring containers to hold the water.
