Widener and Lycoming played a key Middle Atlantic Conference game on Saturday.
Widener entered the game with a (6-0) record in the conference while Lycoming came in at (5-1).
Widener was coming off a 56-20 win over Stevenson two weeks ago while Lycoming entered with a five game winning streak after losing 24-2 to Brockport back in week one.
Quarterback Tyler Jenny led the Warriors while Chris Haupt from Central Columbia high school in Columbia County handled the attack for Widener. Haupt a 25-year-old returned to college football after a career in minor league baseball.
Widener won the game 28-23.
