SCRANTON -- The walking dead roamed the streets Saturday in Scranton to raise money.
The West Side Zombie Escape Route 5K run-walk kicked off Saturday morning on Price Street.
People could just walk the course, or take part in the "game" of escaping from the "zombies" who chased participants along the course.
"We had a great turnout. Terrific response from all of our sponsors and partners and so we're planning to do it next year. Bigger, better, maybe even a parade and some costume contests for the children," said organizer Karin Foster.
Money raised from the zombie run benefits the West Scranton Hyde Park neighborhood watch.
