SCRANTON -- There was quite a surprise Friday morning for dozens of customers at Zummo's Cafe in Scranton. When they went to pay for their breakfasts someone else picked up the tab.
Fidelity Bank based in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties paid people's bills today. It's part of the bank's ongoing campaign called "random act of kindness."
"It means everything. It 's great to be able to give back to the community, just to see the smiles on their faces when we pick up the tab. It 's amazing," said Keith Swartwood, Fidelity Bank.
"It was such a lousy morning," said one customer. "It was such a nice surprise on such a lousy morning."
Fidelity Bank dished out over $200 this morning to surprise nearly 100 people and buy their morning meal in Scranton. The bank does this at various places throughout the year.
