STROUDSBURG-- A tractor-trailer wreck made a mess of traffic all Tuesday afternoon along interstate 80 near Stroudsburg.
Shortly after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning state police say a tractor-trailer carrying cardboard lost control coming around a bend on Interstate 80. After flipping onto the concrete median it slid what officials are saying was at least a mile, smashing into at least one other tractor-trailer and another vehicle in Stroudsburg.
Troopers say traffic was backed up in both directions for hours, all the way to the Delaware Water Gap, Westbound.
That created a nightmare for drivers on the interstate as well as the side roads.
Richard Guttmann with Schlier's towing said this wreck was difficult to clean up.
"This ones tough because of the spot because there's no where for traffic to go. All the traffic has to get off and go into Stroudsburg and that just chokes Stroudsburg right up," said Guttmann.
No one was hurt in the crash. The wreck is cleaned up. Traffic on interstate 80 is moving in both directions.
