SCRANTON -- Think you or somebody you love is suffering from a mood disorder?

Marywood University held a depression screening event, in conjunction with a national screening day.  It was free and open to the public.

Dr. John Lemoncelli, the director of psychological services center at Marywood, said in the past hundreds of people have taken advantage of the screening.

"We invite the community to come for free, to take a short survey, that holds a great deal of validity as to whether someone is showing signs of depression that could need intervention," said Dr. Lemoncelli.

Dr. Lemoncelli said this in particular is a good time to be tested, since this is the time when seasonal mood disorders often appear.
