WILLIAMSPORT — Somebody vandalized supplies for the new ice rink being built at Bowman Field in Williamsport.
Workers said someone poked holes in six of 10 containers that held an antifreeze-type substance for the hockey rink.
About 150 gallons of glycol spilled out before it was noticed Tuesday morning.
“We lost about half a day’s work in the morning, and just the sort of loss of momentum. We had a good plan going into the day yesterday. One of those things you deal with, things happen,” said Rich Cubin, rink specialist.
Crews said they are still on track to have the rink up and running by next week.
The Williamsport Outlaws start their season in two weeks.
