SCHUYLKILL HAVEN -- In this day of instant communication, word that Jerry Sandusky will spend 30 to 60 years in prison for sexually abusing children spread fast.

That includes the Penn State Schuylkill campus near Schuylkill Haven, some students are glad the legal process may be over.

"We're all Penn State, we are a community. It hurts us all but we have to get over this, it`s something we all have to get over and move forward," said Andra Griffin, of Philadelphia.

Other students realize that chances are the child abuser will probably die in prison. They hope the sentence sends a message to others who would betray the trust of children.

"I understand he's an older man and and with 30 to 60 he probably won't live but just for how severe the case was," said Akam Lawson, Georgia.

"I would have put him in for life up until the the point he dies anyways," said Kelsey Messner, from New Ringgold.

"Personally I believe he deserves life in prison. He ruined the lives of young children for the rest of their lives," Katelyn Celani, of Landingville.

The center of attention has been Jerry Sandusky's sentence, but those we spoke with said we should never forget his victims.
