MOOSIC - Yankees' fans young and young at heart stopped by PNC Field Tuesday to sign the steel beam and take part in this once-in-a life time opportunity.

The about 30-foot steel beam is now covered in signatures and well-wishes from fans from all across Northeastern PA.

Signing began at around 3pm and hundreds have made their way to PNC Field to make sure they could make their mark on the final beam on the rebuilt stadium project.

Officials of the Baby Yankees team say they're excited to have the community at the stadium as they get just a little bit closer to opening day.

Construction crews will lift the beam to its permanent home on the left field party deck tomorrow morning. Many young fans we spoke with say they're very excited to sign the beam and it's an experience they will never forget.

"I just love to be down here and be engraved in Yankee's history.  Maybe I can see the beam when I'm here at a game sometime," said Timmy Walsh of Olyphant.

The signing goes until dusk Tuesday.
