Hundreds of screaming kids, all excited for one of the biggest days of the year at Mountainview Elementary School in Susquehanna County.

A teacher versus student basketball game to kick off the school's "Good Behavior Program."

"We're playing basketball to show our good behavior," says student Aaron Weida.

Teachers donned their best athletic attire for the game, and others dressed up as cheerleaders.

The program, was designed to teach kids that good behavior and a positive attitude, will have a positive outcome.

"It makes the whole day go better for the kids, they're able to concentrate on the work better when they are not worried about problems on the playground or lunchroom and teasing and bullying," says teacher, Ron "Mr. G" Gardoski.

The good behavior program will reward kids for behaving well, having good grades, working hard, and working well with others.

"The students need to be reassured that what they are doing is correct, it is a positive, it's a system that focuses on the positive aspects rather than a punitive or negative aspect," says School Principal, Andy Doster.

The program, is going on its 3rd year. The principal says there will be a different theme every month. And the good behavior program is sure to continue for years to come.
