Calling it the “largest illegal gaming machine seizure in the state's history," federal and state officials raided dozens of businesses and seized video gambling machines in Lackawanna, Luzerne, Susquehanna, and Wayne Counties Wednesday night.

There were about 400 video gambling machines seized which investigators characterize as illegal because of illegal payouts.

Investigators said that the majority of the machines were from one vendor who was the primary focus of the investigation.

Newswatch 16 was there as machines were taken out of a business in Nanticoke and loaded onto trucks.

We were told dozens of bars, clubs and even gas stations throughout the counties were raided.

Newswatch 16 was also there as agents showed up to the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Scranton's west side.

State officials said the sweep comes after a two-year investigation.
