Interstate 81 Wreck Slows Traffic

MOOSIC — A crash along Interstate 81 northbound in Lackawanna County has part of the highway down to one lane.

State police said a driver was passing traffic near the Moosic Exit when he lost control and went under a double tractor-trailer.

He was taken to the hospital.

PennDOT also tells us a second wreck happened near the Dupont/Pittston exit due to the earlier one.

Crews say drivers can expect backups between the Wilkes-Barre and Davis Street/Montage Mountain Road exits.
