PALMYRA TOWNSHIP — Two Pennsylvania Game Commission employees were hurt Monday while trying to contain a fire at a shooting range in Pike County.
The fire at a range in Palmyra Township is being blamed on the illegal use of exploding rifle targets.
According to the ranges maintenance crew, the fire started around 3:00 p.m. on a target backstop. Crews were trying to put it out when an exploding target on the ground near the fire detonated.
Both men were taken to a hospital and treated for burns.
