The Bloomsburg Huskies moved to (5-0) on the season with a 43-24 victory over Gannon on Saturday afternoon on Danny Hale field at Redman Stadium.
Franklyn Quiteh rushed for 208 yards. Quiteh is a running back out of Pocono Mountain West high school in Monroe County. His teammate Eddie Mateo from Bethlehem Freedom high school added 180 yards on the ground for the #4 ranked Huskies. With his 208 yards rushing Quiteh surpassed the 4,000 yard mark. Quiteh is the third back in school history to reach such a milestone joining Jamar Brittingham and Irv Sigler.
Quarterback Tim Kelly went 6-8 on the day for 96 yards and three touchdown.
Down 3-0 early in the 1st quarter Bloomsburg went on a drive and took the 7-3 lead on the shovel pass from Kelly to Ryan Maggs out of Central Mountain high school.
Kelly found wide receiver Ryan Dickerson in the back of the end zone for the 14-3 advantage later in the 1st quarter.
In the second quarter leading 14-10 Bloomsburg scored again when Kelly hit Kyle Fisher on a 38 yard strike for the 21-10 advantage.
Bloomsburg lead 21-17 at the half and went onto win 43-24.
