Riverside comes into Friday's showdown game with a record of (3-1). After a tough week one loss (26-20) to West Scranton the Vikings have picked up the pieces and rattled off three straight victories with wins over Carbondale (32-28), North Pocono (57-47), and Susquehanna (42-21).
Old Forge is (4-0) on the season and ranked #4 in the Super 16 countdown. The Blue Devils defeated Lake Lehman (50-14), Wilkes-Barre Meyers (42-7), Holy Redeemer (56-7), and Dunmore (21-0). The Bucks we're ranked 9th in last weeks Super 16 before the loss.
On November 18th, 2011 Old Forge defeated Riverside 47-6 to win the District 2 "A" title.
The Vikings are (8-3) in this series dating back to 2004. Riverside finished with a record of (7-5) in Evan Prall's 1st season as the Vikings head coach. The 2010 team led by Harry Armstrong went (14-2) and lost in the "A" state title game.
