SAYLORSBURG -- Autumn has arrived here in the Poconos and for many, it means all the fall colors are in bloom and a perfect time to head into the mountains.
"I love it, I absolutely love it. I love the foliage, I love everything about it. You don't see this in New York," said Suzana Lisica of Tobyhanna, who recently moved to that area from New York City.
Klingel Farms near Saylorsburg is a cornerstone in the community when it comes to celebrating all things "Fall".
They've got fields of pumpkin patches, which are a popular spot for children of all ages.
"Just wanted to get some pumpkins for the holiday, get ready for carving. I have three kids so I know that's what they want," said Lisica.
The farm also has a produce stand, which draws in the customers.
"We had to decorate our house for the fall so we came out here. There are lots of pumpkins, lots of flowers," said Lee Mengel of Bangor.
But the most popular part of the farm is "Mazilla" the corn maze. It's been in operation since the mid-nineties.
It opened for the fall season this past weekend after months of preparation.
"We started over the winter time and come up with an idea or a theme. We design it and lay it out on grid paper and we plant the corn field," said Stuart Klingel, the farm owner.
Klingel says this year, the eleven-acre maze will take people about an hour and a half to complete. That is if you don't get lost. Which is known to happen.
"We've had people three or four hours already," said Klingel.
Luckily, the maze does have a tower that is manned with someone to help with directions.
But if you ask Lee Mengel, he says he's bringing his own help.
"I don't like getting lost. So I need my grandson to help me get through it. He's seven. And my granddaughter, who's nine. She would help a lot," said Mengel.
