HAZLETON — Police said two people were robbed and assaulted as they were walking in the area of Third and Alter streets in Hazleton.
According to police, the pair was approached by two men.
One of the robbers punched one of the victims in the face and knocked him down.
The other robber took the female victim’s money.
The thieves then ran off.
There is no word on how much money was taken.
Anyone with information is asked to call police in Hazleton.
