Walk to End Alzheimer’s


This event raises funds for Alzheimer’s care, support & research.  The walk is held at SnoMountain, Montage Mountain Rd., outside Scranton on Saturday, Oct. 6.  Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m.  There is no fee to register, but participants are asked to fundraise in order to contribute to the cause and raise awareness.


Annual SPCA Walk for the Animals


Walk for the Animals is held at Frances Slocum State Park.  Bring your furry friend and take a nice walk on designated rails.  The walk is Saturday, Oct. 6:  registration begins at 9 a.m.  At 11 a.m. there’s a Blessings of the Animals followed by the walk.  It’s free coffee and donuts before the walk, and then hot dogs and soda after the walk.
