OLYPHANT — Charges against a police officer in Lackawanna County have been withdrawn.
Authorities had accused Dean Argenta, who was an officer in Olyphant, of omitting details about a protection-from-abuse conviction on his job application.
The district attorney in Lackawanna County withdrew the charges Tuesday after the former officer agreed to give up his police certification.
Argenta’s certification was revoked last week.
