WILKES-BARRE — A former Luzerne County deputy sheriff has pleaded no contest to a charge of simple assault.
Jennifer Roberts was accused of attacking Shiela Sult last year.
According to arrest papers, Roberts was angry Sult was seeing her ex-girlfriend.
Roberts was sentenced to 18 months probation after her plea Monday in Luzerne County Court.
