Sandusky Sentencing Set

BELLEFONTE — A sentencing date has been set for convicted abuser Jerry Sandusky.

Monday morning, Judge John Cleland set the date as October 9 at the Centre County Courthouse in Bellefonte.

In June, a jury convicted Sandusky on 45 counts related to the sexual abuse of ten boys.

Sandusky has been locked up in the Centre County prison since then.

Before Sandusky is sentenced next month, there will be a hearing to determine if he should be classified as a sexually violent predator.
